Season Premiere 2016 Event is the 26th minor event overall and the 13th event for 2016. It started on September 21, 2016 and ended on October 4, 2016. It required level 5 to start.
The event started with the main questline, Battle of the Brands which unlocked all the personal prizes of the event.
From September 28 a rebate-deal promotion started composed of two Wave of offers.
Wave 1: September 28 - October 1
Wave 2: October 1 - 4
From September 30 to October 4, Springfield Heights job-rewards were quadruplicated, though it costs to start it remains intact (if applicable). This applies to:
Characters working on the Springfield Heights harvesting and crafting stations.
For a short period of time movies at the Googolplex could be started for free. However, the cost was added back with a patch released on September 30th.
The city is broke, people! We are hemorrhaging money and need cash fast, or we'll all be selling our likeness to T-shirt companies. But Moe, not you.
